Wroclaw is a city which in 2016 joined the European Capital of Culture program. Since then Wroclawians have increased their cultural life by seeing the value of their time spending like that. There are also new places where various events take place, attracting more creative individuals and seekers to the city. Let’s see the music scene!

Cenntenial Hall (Hala Stulecia)

The Centennial Hall, located on the street Wystawowa 1, is now one of the most sought places for the largest exhibitions, conferences, cultural events, sports and congresses in Poland and abroad. Entering it in 2006 on the UNESCO World Heritage List has highlighted the importance of this facility. Undoubtedly, it is one of Wroclaw’s most distinctive landmarks on the international scene and is an extremely magical place in Wroclaw, where history cards record its multi-generational history.

Centennial Hall enjoys a great popularity among the organizers of cultural and entertainment events from home and abroad. A wide range of events can be found here:

  • opera performances (“Carmen”, “Igor’s Knee”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and others)

Old Monastery (Stary Klasztor)

Old Monastery is a unique place on the cultural map of Wroclaw. The concert and restaurant complex is located in a converted Dominican convent, dating back to the first half of the 14th century. The uniqueness of this place is not just a historical aspect. The Monastery is primarily an extremely rich cultural offer. Almost every day there are concerts of native and foreign artists, representing various styles and genres of music, which makes every music lover find something for themselves. In addition, our launch of events also includes periodic performances of the best Polish cabarets and stand-ups. In the Old Monastery there are both small events and large events. A very important asset is the location in the city center and a large underground car park nearby.

A2 – Concert Center (A2 – Centrum Koncertowe)

The A2 Concert Hall is a new, spacious and atmospheric venue in Wrocław, located in a large hall (1000 square meters) adapted for cultural events and events; Especially docked and equipped with high-quality sound and lighting equipment, high stage, two bars and many toilets.

There will be concerts of representatives of all kinds of music, both sitting and standing, as well as cabaret performances, stand-ups.

Old Basement (Stara Piwnica)

Old Basement, next to the Old Monastery, is a music club branded by well-known brands wROCKfest.pl, Ethno Jazz Festival and City Sounds – the quality of concerts that will be presented there is guaranteed.

Excellent location at Krupnicza 15, opposite the National Music Forum, next to ul. Włodkowica in the District of Four Temples, it is undoubtedly the advantage of the premises.

The airy interiors, a large selection of unconventional beers and wines, as well as the kitchen and catering facilities on a high level, will make anyone in Stara Piwnica something for themselves.

National Forum of Music

The National Music Forum organizes the activities of eleven instrumental and vocal ensembles. The NFM’s great opportunities in the cultural life of Wroclaw have resulted in the emergence of new and exciting festivals. The National Music Forum is currently coordinating nine international events, namely the International Festival of Wratislavia Cantans, Jazztopad, Musica Polonica Nova, Musica Electronica Nova, Forum Musicum , Leo Festival, Academy of Old Music, NFM New Year Festival, Singing Europe.

Wroclaw radio concert hall

The Concert Hall distinguishes among other types of rooms the excellent acoustics. Thanks to this, the artists who perform there come back here and tour again. In the Concert Hall were Art Farmer – world famous jazz trumpeter, Kurt Masur – director of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, oldest orchestra in the USA and one of the oldest in the world.

Today Wroclaw Radio Concert Hall is still one of the largest radio studios in Poland. Its volume is 7900 cubic meters. with an area of 600 sq.m. The stage is able to accommodate the great symphony orchestra with the choir. Study facilities include a total area of 150 sq m.
